What Does a Logbook Service Involve?

Your vehicle’s manufacturer has recommended service intervals with parts and systems that should be replaced or checked across the life of your car.

A logbook service follows the manufacturer’s specifications for your vehicle. Regardless of how many kilometres are on the clock, or wear and tear on other parts, the service will include checks on:

  • Lights
  • Fanbelts
  • Tyre pressure
  • Fluids – such as brake, transmission & coolant
  • Steering & suspension

In addition, the mechanic will also change the engine oil and filter, top-up under-bonnet fluids, test the battery, examine the brakes and make any adjustments. The final job is a 40-point overall inspection.

A general service goes the next step and identifies worn parts that need replacing. Contact us today about which type of service is right for you.
